Terms of Service

Last updated 24 October 2026 • Version 1.0

Demonstration service. AegisPay is a technical demo. No card network, SWIFT/SEPA connection, crypto node, e-money licence or KYC vendor is connected to it, and it does not hold, transmit or custody real funds. These Terms are provided as a realistic template for the demo and do not create a real financial-services relationship.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By opening an account or otherwise accessing AegisPay (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your credentials confidential.

  • One account per person unless we approve otherwise in writing.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account, including transfers authorised with your session.
  • Notify support immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Nature of the Service

The Service simulates a multi-currency digital wallet, a merchant payment gateway and an agent/OTC settlement network backed by a double-entry ledger. Balances, limits, settlement timing and the audit trail are server-authoritative and internally consistent. Because this is a demonstration build, settlement is simulated on a timer and no value shown represents real money.

4. Wallets & balances

Account balances are recorded in integer minor units and converted to decimal amounts only at the interface. Every movement is recorded as a debit leg and a credit leg within a single transaction, so each currency nets to zero across all accounts. You may hold balances in the supported currencies (for example USD, EUR, GBP and USDT) and convert between your own wallets at the rate shown at the time of conversion.

5. Transfers, deposits & withdrawals

Movements of value clear according to the rail used. Simulated clearing times are:

RailClears in
internalInstantly
card~30 seconds
crypto~3 minutes
bank_wire~12 minutes

A transfer that has been accepted but not yet cleared is shown as in-flight. You authorise a transfer by confirming it in your signed-in session; the account identifiers come from your session, never from the request body.

6. Fees & exchange rates

Applicable fees and the exchange spread are displayed before you confirm a transaction. Conversions use the rate in effect at the moment of conversion. We may change our fee schedule with notice posted to the Service.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • break any applicable law or regulation, or facilitate money laundering or terrorist financing;
  • probe, scrape, overload or attempt to bypass the security of the Service;
  • impersonate another person or provide false identity information;
  • resell or expose a partner API key in any client-facing page.

8. Verification & compliance

Tiered verification (KYC) may be required to raise limits or use certain features. We may review, hold or decline activity that trips our risk and velocity controls. In a production deployment, holding customer funds is a regulated activity and would require appropriate licensing; this demo is not e-money infrastructure.

9. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, that we are required to act on, or that presents unacceptable risk. You may close your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature survive termination (for example liability and governing law) continue to apply.

10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. Because this is a demonstration environment, it is not intended for, and must not be relied on for, real financial transactions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AegisPay is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the Service.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted within the Service where practical.

12. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent through our contact page or to the compliance team listed there.
